A.J. Hawk Re-Joins Green Bay

The divorce between the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers and linebacker A.J. Hawk last less than 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the Packers released the 27-year-old, who was due $10 million in 2011. Thursday, the two sides agreed to a five-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Green Bay drafted Hawk with the fifth-overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and he has been a starter from day one. Last season, Hawk had 111 tackles, the most since his rookie season, along with 0.5 sacks and three interceptions.

Green Bay also released tight end Donald Lee and safety Derrick Martin.
