Florida Woman Files Lawsuit Against Steelers' Holmes

Santonio Holmes
By Justin Worsley

Ben Roethlesberger isn't the only Steeler receiving bad publicity.

Anshonoe Mills filed a lawsuit Wednesday, claiming Pittsburgh wide receiver Santonio Holmes grabbed her by the face and threw a glass at the right side of her face, cutting her close to her eye, because she was sitting on a couch at Rain Night Club's VIP section.

Mills also claims that Holmes and a police officer intimidated her into not pressing charges on the Mar. 7 incident. According to the lawsuit, Mills incoherently told the police she was hit in the face and was bleeding but would not press charges. The lawsuit also states that Holmes offered to bribe Mills with money in order to avoid a lawsuit, stating that as a NFL star, he could not afford to get in legal trouble.

Mills is suing the Super Bowl XLIII MVP for $15,000 in damages.

Pittsburgh began their off-field workout today without Roethlesberger. The quarterback is accused of assaulting a 20-year-old female college student from Georgia. No charges have been filed against Roethlesberger.
